Framed John Gould Hummingbird Print - Hylonympha Macrocerca

One of three antique framed lithograph prints from John Gould.  This print, entitled Hylonympha Macrocerca, was minted in 1946 and is in impeccable condition in a beautiful gold bamboo frame.  Matted and framed, the prints are 25” high and 19” wide.  John Gould was born on September 14, 1804 in Lyme Regis, Dorset, England.  His passion for birds and artistic talent was developed at a young age and further honed by his artist wife Elizabeth Gould.  Their collaboration resulted in an extraordinary contribution to the study of birds.
